Bygone, to an extent, bracelets are not always at the forefront in the realm of go-to accessories. But as summer calls for bare arms and sleeveless styles, that is all about to change.
Arm cuffs – sometimes known as armlets – typically come with an open back, making it easier to slip over the wrist and onto the upper arm. The fashion world, both hesitantly and very briefly, introduced arm cuffs in the early noughties but has since remained somewhat out of view. Much like most trends, this one has returned to the fashion runways with designers such as Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs wrapping the arms of their models with the statement-making arm candy. Over in the entertainment world, the resurgence has seen the accessory become a symbol of strong iconic women in Wonder Woman and Game of Thrones, for example, where it is sported as a warrior arm band.
