Valentini himself hails from a family of designers that have a 160-year industrial history in North Italy. Having completed stints in the worlds of fashion and industrial design, he then turned his attention to the world of luggage-making and discovered that, while trends have come and gone, the overarching design ethos of luggages have remained almost unchanged since the ’70s. “There was a need for an upgrade”, explains Valentini, “something to link to the new era.”

As founder and designer of TecknoMonster, his goal is to create the most sophisticated accessories for “people that want to be in the new world”. So, his company foregoes traditional materials like leather and aluminium in favour of more robust carbon fibre and titanium for its luggage designs.

Through his groundbreaking research in material development, Valentini has also pioneered techniques that allow the inclusion of hitherto-unusable materials such as wood and enamel in his creations without sacrificing on quality and durability. Beyond that, TecknoMonster also customisation services to its high-end clients. Be it to enhance aesthetics or increase security – the luxury brand offers bulletproofed products as well – no ask is beyond its innovative reach.

Luxury luggage brand TUMI heads northwards to Scandinavia for its Fall 2018 collection. Inspired by the stark aesthetics of the Scandinavian landscape, the latest collection is all about minimalism and functionality.

Borne out of a common passion for a fast-paced life, world travel, car racing and a zest for luxury, Ventris is the brain child of three forward-thinking young men. What started as a friendship between this group of young people took off as an entrepreneurship that promises to give the world a beautiful, new luggage brand named ‘Ventris’.
Influenced by the founders’ love for racing cars, the Ventris luggage is completely made of carbon fibre, the same extremely expensive material that goes into making the fastest racing cars in the world.
As superlight as it is durable, carbon fibre is one of the strongest materials in the world. Carbon fibre has some unique properties, including high stiffness, high tensile strength, low weight, high chemical resistance, high temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion. These properties make it popular not only among racing car makers, but also makes it valuable in fields of aerospace, military and civil engineering.

Premium travel and lifestyle brand TUMI has just launched its new collection for Spring/Summer 2018, inspired by the landscapes and creative energy of California. To celebrate the occasion, they set up a TUMI House, recreating a beautiful beach house in sunny California, right in the middle of the Atrium at the ifc mall from 18 to 21 January. &nbsp;
There&#8217;s something for every traveller in the new TUMI Spring/Summer 2018 assortment. We particularly loved the&nbsp;Alpha Bravo, Mariella and Merge collections.
