Man Overboard – The Low-down on the glorious and growing rebirth of men’s jewellery
Once upon a time, men’s jewellery was reliably simple. It then became notably extravagant and – let’s charitably say – somewhat quirky. Of late, it’s evolved again, metamorphosing into something distinctly chunky, not to say outsized.
Particularly comment-worth are the immense design concepts behind many of the heftiest and unapologetically luxurious pieces that are notably anthropomorphic nature in character.
While classic investment pieces continue to be popular, in recent years the global jewellery market has seen significant demand for such over-the top, bold jewellery. Ultimately, the men’s jewellery revolution is now all but unstoppable, fused with glamorous humour and emblematic of the current love of fashionable opulence.
