Dom Pérignon has collaborated with German artist Michael Riedel to express through the medium of art the transformation of its champagne during the ageing process.

The idea of transformation is expressed both visually, via Riedel’s distinctive limited edition box and labels, and viscerally through the rich and penetrating flavor of the wines.

Riedel has taken the “D” and “P” in the maison’s name and created what he calls “ a poetic optical metaphor for the passage of time”.

To illustrate this complex sounding idea, he has simply layered the two letters across both the box and the bottle labels.

The collaboration is for a series of gift boxes featuring Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006.
